The Organ Symphony is a composition full of drama, beautiful melodies and special timbres. Written for a large orchestra, a very diverse group of musicians: strings, wood and brass, percussion, piano and, of course, organ.
Camille Saint-Saëns' third symphony was dedicated to composer and pianist Franz Liszt and uses Liszt's compositional technique, thematic transformation.
Listener and musicians are taken/transported on a musical journey provided by a spectrum of timbres and emotions.
